One of the biggest challenges faced in
the workplace today is the changing roles between employers
and employees and the ongoing saga of "morale versus
productivity". It is no longer productive
to assume your staff are lucky to have their jobs, or
that they will always be there to rely on. On
the other hand, employees need to learn personal accountability
for their personal well-being, attitude, and for their
level of productivity. With
job security and loyalty becoming a concept of the past,
organizations are needing to find different ways of building
loyalty, morale, and productivity into the workplace
so that it benefits all..
While staff training is important, sometimes
the end result (due to incorrect assessment or deeper
organizational issues) is short lived or hardly worth
the time and expense incurred. Instead, if staff
and management can work cooperatively together to expose
fundamental problem areas while collectively setting
a vision for the future, they can improve teamwork and
morale while increasing commitment and productivity.
The system that I have devised: THE VISION QUEST facilitates
the above by working with the key goals of an organization (including
